Elden is Zion's pastor. He was ordained and installed at Zion in July 2013 after completing the M.Div. program at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He interacts with God's people of all ages to nurture them with the love of Christ.
Before becoming a pastor, Elden earned a degree in Elementary Education and served as a teacher for five years. This included work as a missionary and ESL teacher in Togo, Africa, and in Taiwan. He also taught 5th-8th grade for one year in an LCMS school in St. Louis.
Originally from Michigan, Elden now lives in Macon with his wife, Molly, and five children. He enjoys singing and playing guitar, running, woodworking and just hanging out at home with his family.

Chris is Administrative Assistant at Zion Lutheran Church. She began serving in July 2016. Before accepting this position, Chris earned a Bachelor’s in Animal Science (1995), LPN (1997), ADN (1999) and a Bachelor’s in Nursing (2015). Chris worked many years as a nurse and office manager. Most recently she worked with her husband in his office where she continues to work part time.
Chris and her husband, Shannon, and their daughters Emily and Anna, have lived in Macon and attended Zion since 1995. Chris was baptized and confirmed at Zion. She enjoys spending time with her family and extended family of friends and supporting her daughters’ activities (softball, track, band, FFA).
